Based in Oakland, CA, Mira Blackman uses all natural, handmade and heritage textiles for small collections and one of a kind pieces. Like the textiles collected abroad, the silhouettes are inspired by traditional garments from around the world. Garments are textile forward, texture rich, designed to minimize waste, and honor the life of the fabric. Everything is cut and sewn one piece at a time in an Oakland studio.
